Technical Sales / Customer Support Engineer | Keighley | Full Time | Competitive Salary
Due to the expansion of our client's service department, they are currently recruiting for a Customer Support Sales Engineer to work UK-wide. Working as part of their team, you will be helping provide an excellent support service to customers.
In this position, you would be responsible to the Managing Director & Service Director and based at the head office in Keighley, although their customers' sites are UK-wide.
Are you the right person for the job?
* Significant experience working in a sales or engineering role within the steam or heating industry
* Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage with both internal and external stakeholders at all levels
* An effective negotiator and problem solver with the ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritise workload
* Proficient in MS Office packages, including Excel and Word, and CRM systems
* A full UK driving Licence is essential
What will your role look like?
* Receiving enquiries via phone and email, preparation of quotations, answering technical questions and visiting sites when required to assess and advise on specific site requirements.
* Technical assistance in the day-to-day operation of the business.
* Attending customers' sites to solve problems and breakdowns.
* Evaluating customer boiler requirements for interfacing with hire plant controls.
* Attending customer sites to ensure that the boiler and ancillary plant are running correctly, efficiently and safely, making adjustments or parts replacement as necessary (when fully conversant with the plant)
* Advising/training end users in correct boiler operating procedures where necessary
Whilst some working away from home would be involved, we currently envisage this to be up to two days per week. This is very much an evolving role and will develop in line with skills and experience.
