The Role
We are looking for a talented lawyer at 1 - 3 year PQE to join our growing team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop a broad soft IP practice with real responsibility and direct client contact from day one.
You will work on a varied caseload, including:
* IP litigation in the High Court and IPEC (trade mark infringement, passing off, copyright infringement, breach of contract etc.)
* UKIPO Oppositions and Appeals to the Appointed Person
* Drafting and negotiating IP-related agreements (licensing, assignments, settlement)
* Providing strategic, commercial advice to a diverse client base
* Portfolio management and brand protection strategy
About You
- A litigation background, with experience working on a variety of contentious cases
- Qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with approximately 1 - 3 years' PQE, having qualified into commercial litigation or IP litigation
- Demonstrable experience and a genuine interest in soft IP
- Open, hard-working and genuinely ambitious, with the drive to be an entrepreneurial lawyer
- Entrepreneurial and keen to develop your own client base, which we actively encourage and support
- Strong academic background and excellent drafting skills
- Commercially astute, with sound judgement and attention to detail
- Self-motivated and able to manage your own caseload while working as part of a close-knit team
- Confident in client-facing situations
Location
Our hub is in Liverpool, with regular team catch-ups in London. As an agile firm, we are open to applications from talented candidates based anywhere in the UK and are happy to discuss flexible working arrangements.
