Health & Safety Manager
Location: Trafford Park
Are you a proactive Health & Safety professional looking for a role where you can make a real impact? We are looking for an experienced H&S Manager to take ownership of health, safety, and compliance across a fast-paced warehouse and office environment.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys being visible on-site, building relationships, challenging where needed, and working collaboratively with teams to create a positive safety culture.
The Role
Reporting to the Facilities Manager, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of Health & Safety across a large fulfilment warehouse and office environments. You will ensure compliance, improve safety standards, support managers, and provide practical solutions to reduce risk and improve workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop, implement, and maintain Health & Safety policies and procedures
Ensure compliance with relevant legislation and industry standards
Complete risk assessments and implement effective control measures
Lead incident investigations and corrective actions
Manage COSHH, PPE, manual handling, and safe systems of work
Deliver H&S training, inductions, and safety briefings
Lead H&S meetings and report on key trends and performance
Monitor H&S KPIs and identify areas for improvement
Carry out regular warehouse and office inspections
Support managers in maintaining strong safety standards
Monitor housekeeping standards and promote continuous improvement
What we’re looking for:
NEBOSH General Certificate (or equivalent)
Experience working within warehouse, logistics, manufacturing, or similar environments
Strong understanding of Health & Safety legislation and best practice
A confident communicator who can influence, challenge, and build relationships
A practical, solutions-focused approach
Someone who is hands-on, proactive, and comfortable working on-site
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
Excellent attention to detail
Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
Full UK driving licence required
