You have the chance to shape a young person's life, inspire their creative thought process and teach them skills they will use forever. Completing a Modern Apprenticeship will equip you with the skills and knowledge required to become a qualified Practitioner.\n \nThe successful applicants will be assisting senior practitioners and training under general direction of the manager. This is a full time position. \nIn a typical day you will be involved in: \n-setting up the play environment for a fun filled day of learning\n-Implement planned learning experiences in line with the Curriculum for Excellence\n-Keep children safe and well at all times\n-Assist with snack, lunches and dinners\n-Play outdoors in all weather! The Modern Apprenticeship takes candidates around 12 months to complete and you will be working towards an SVQ 3 Social Services Children and Young People qualification; this is a work-based qualification and once completed, you will become a fully qualified Childcare Practitioner. You will be employed by the nursery and l&g Learning will support you through your training.\n Youâll have a head start in this vacancy if youâve completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in a related field. Weâll need you to provide evidence of your qualification and show you gained the relevant skills from your placement \nYou should demonstrate a desire to work within the Childcare sector and have some form of relatable experience. Ideally you will have one National 5 qualification including English. However, we understand that not everyone will have achieved this level of qualification and will take this into consideration.\nAnyone who has completed a Foundation Apprenticeship in Childcare will get direct access to the interview stage.
