We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Psychologist to join our South West Kent CMHT team, based at Highlands House in Tunbridge Wells. You will participate in the provision of direct clinical work through the delivery of manualized psychologically informed structured interventions as part of Psychological Services to adults with mental health difficulties within the community & recovery service line of Kent & Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust.
The successful candidate will deliver structured psychological interventions to adults with moderate to severe mental health difficulties, either individually or in groups.
Main duties of the job
1. Deliver 'initial interventions' to people accessing adult mental health services as part of the Clinical Care Pathways in the CMHT. Specific and targeted training will be provided by experienced Psychological Practitioners, with all interventions supported by weekly clinical supervision.
2. Undertake other structured therapeutic psychological interventions using own initiative within guidelines provided by a qualified psychologist.
3. Perform clinically and service performance-related administration, audit, research projects, teaching, and service improvement work under the guidance of a qualified psychologist.
Minimum requirements
* Psychology undergraduate degree/masters 2:1 or above
* Experience working in Adult Mental Health
* Experience as an Assistant Psychologist
Desirable criteria
* Experience delivering short-term CBT-informed Psychological Interventions
* Experience working with secondary care clients
