We are actively looking for a Commercial Manager to join our Howden Consumer & Local Commercial team. Our local Commercial team have grown rapidly over the last 14 years', and we now have over 200 people within the team across the UK. In this role you will be responsible for leading the commercial team and working closely with the Branch Manager to achieve objectives.

About the Role:

Reporting to the Branch Manager, the successful candidate will help achieve growth targets for commercial and related business in line with company targets and strategies for the local team. This individual will lead and effectively motivate the Commercial team while driving progression in all aspects of their performance.

Key Responsibilities:

* Progressively grow the Commercial Team's business through generating new business and Initiatives across our existing bank of clients.
* Provide effective and motivational leadership to build positive environment for business growth, clients, and colleagues.
* Attend networking events to profile Company as leading Commercial Broker in your locality when appropriate.
* Assist with Marketing and Social Media strategy for your Team
* Monitor workloads of Team to ensure prompt and efficient service to existing and new clients
* Ability to motivate and manage teams through effective leadership style
* Competent of evaluating people's strengths and improvement areas, and capable of mentoring, coaching and reorganising people to take advantage of their strengths and mitigate areas requiring improvement.
* People management of the team and all aspects relating to same
* Monthly 121 meetings for team members to keep individual and team KPIs on track

About you:

* You will have experience winning new business and building long lasting relationships with B2B clients.
* You must have a passion for developing business through marketing, community engagement, networking, client meetings, just to name a few - the stronger our presence in the market, the more successful you will be.
* You will be tenacious and have a business curiosity, as this will allow you to identify and explore new business opportunities to drive the best possible outcome for our clients
* Ability to lead and motivate a team.
