Senior Client Solutions Partner

Hays- Assessment & Development

London- 3 days in office per week


The opportunity

Hays Assessment & Development supports organisations facing critical people challenges — leadership capability, succession risk, workforce productivity, team effectiveness, diversity and future‑skills needs.


We are now looking for a commercially driven Client Solutions Partner, focusing within our Assessment & Development practice to accelerate our UK growth, win new business and create repeatable, scalable revenue streams.


This is a senior sales role with a consulting edge: you’ll uncover client needs, design intelligent solutions and convert opportunities into long‑term partnerships. You will be responsible for growing the A&D revenue line, expanding key accounts and establishing multiyear client relationships across psychometrics, leadership assessment, assessment centres and people development programmes.


This role is ideal for someone who loves selling complex people solutions, influencing senior stakeholders and shaping what the future of Assessment & Development looks like at Hays.


What you’ll do

Commercial ownership & sales growth

* Build and own a high‑quality pipeline across HR, Talent, OD and business leadership.
* Proactively identify and open new client opportunities — positioning Hays as a strategic A&D partner.
* Lead the full sales cycle: prospecting, discovery, solution design, proposal development, pitching and closing.
* Drive year‑on‑year revenue growth, with a strong focus on recurring A&D programmes rather than one‑off projects.
* Expand existing accounts by embedding psychometrics, leadership assessments and development pathways into long‑term contracts.


Client discovery & needs analysis

* Lead expert‑level discovery conversations to uncover pain points related to leadership, productivity, talent depth, DEI, future skills and workforce strategy.
* Use strong questioning and insight to surface unmet needs and commercial opportunities.
* Translate ambiguity into clear, solvable business problems that map directly to Hays’ A&D capabilities.


Solution architecture & proposition development

* Design compelling solutions across:
* Leadership and executive assessment for development
* Succession and talent reviews
* Top‑team and leadership effectiveness
* Workforce capability and future‑skills analysis
* Leadership frameworks and scalable development pathways
* Build commercial cases that demonstrate ROI and link people outcomes to business performance.
* Work with specialists to ensure solutions are scoped effectively and can scale.


Partnership, influence & long‑term client value

* Position yourself as a trusted advisor — not a vendor — with senior stakeholders.
* Move client relationships from project‑based work to multiyear, strategically embedded partnerships.
* Collaborate with internal assessment and delivery teams to ensure solutions land well and create future growth opportunities.


What we’re looking for

Essential:

* Experience selling or shaping people, leadership, talent, OD or workforce solutions.
* Proven success in winning consulting or advisory engagements.
* Confidence engaging HRDs, C‑suite sponsors and senior business leaders.
* Strong commercial instinct — able to spot opportunities and convert them into revenue.
* Ability to turn complex, ambiguous issues into compelling solutions.

Valuable (not essential)

* Exposure to psychometrics, assessment centres or leadership diagnostics.
* Experience with assessment for development (not just hiring assessment).
* Background in leadership advisory, boutique consultancies or People & Organisation practices.
