Pre-Press Coordinator
Location: Bolton

Are you an organised and detail-driven professional with experience in a manufacturing or technical environment? If so, this could be the perfect opportunity for you. Our client is seeking a proactive Pre-Press Coordinator to support the Pre-Press Manager and wider technical team in managing printing cylinders, sleeves, anilox and roller provision, while helping to drive performance, quality and continuous improvement across the Holographics area.
What You’ll Be Doing
You will play a key role in supporting daily pre-press operations and ensuring production demands are met efficiently and safely. Your responsibilities will include:
* Supporting the management of cylinder engraving orders with approved suppliers in line with production plans
* Liaising with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, Finance and Central Functions to align tooling supply with production and trial demand
* Updating and maintaining the asset register and cylinder database with unique numbering
* Creating and distributing pre-press and cylinder plans to key stakeholders
* Monitoring consumable levels and supporting dual supply strategies
* Tracking and reporting KPIs, extracting data to support continuous improvement initiatives
* Supporting trials, projects and continuous improvement activities across Holographics, Technical and Micro Optics
* Assisting with barrel proofing, laser cleaning, laser welding and MOP2 improvement projects
* Supporting logistics with transportation of cylinders when required
* Completing process audits within the holographics area
* Supporting QC with customer complaint analysis and corrective action implementation
* Helping to manage shift patterns, holidays and sickness in line with company policy
* Ensuring all processes are accurately recorded and maintained within relevant information systems
* Promoting and maintaining a safe, secure and compliant working environment at all times
What You’ll Bring
Essential
* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent experience
* Manufacturing experience within a similar technical or conversion environment
* Strong manual dexterity
* Excellent numerical and literacy skills
* FLT trained
Desirable
* Financial awareness
* Experience using AutoCAD, Corel Draw, Ani-cam or other technical software packages
