Role Purpose
The Healthcare Assistant (HCA) provides compassionate, hands‑on personal care and support to patients across hospital, clinical and community environments.
Key Responsibilities
1. Personal Care & Daily Support
o Assist with washing, dressing, toileting and personal hygiene.
o Support mobility and use of equipment.
2. Clinical Support
o Take observations (BP, pulse, temperature).
o Assist with basic clinical tasks under supervision.
3. Emotional Support
o Provide reassurance, dignity and companionship.
4. Infection Control & Safety
o Follow infection prevention guidelines.
o Maintain a clean and safe care environment.
