About The Role Job Purpose AD Plant Operators are responsible for safely and efficiently operating all plant and processes via SCADA, ensuring that the plant discharges treated effluent in accordance with the site permit as efficiently as possible. Please note the team work 4 days on, 4 off with the below pattern: 7am-7pm 2 days. 10am-10pm 2 days. There is potential also to be on call every 4 weeks. Key Result Area / Principal Duties & Responsibilities Under the direction of the Operations Manager, operate the anaerobic and aerobic treatment systems via SCADA. Coordinate the transfer of various waste streams from the brewery, ensuring the wastes go into the correct tank on the AD Plant. Operate the GUU, GEU, CNG, CHP & ETS and any future installations on Site 8, and the Reverse Osmosis plant in the brewery. Coordinate day-to-day tankering activities with the relevant third parties as necessary. Undertake daily laboratory analysis and adjust process parameters as based on the analysis results to ensure process health and PPC compliance. Collecting multiple data sets and recording on SharePoint as. Unload deliveries and move assets around site using the forklift truck (subject to successful completion of training). Cleaning of all equipment and areas on site as directed by the Operations Manager. Undertake day-to-day first line of defence maintenance activities on pumps, mixers, valves etc and report all defects to the Operations Manager. Any other tasks relevant to the safe and efficient operation of activities on Site 8 as required by the Operations Manager. Key Relationships - Internal & External Internal – liaise fellow AD Plant Operators to agree tasks for the day. Internal – liaise with the brewery on transfers to the AD Plant External – coordinate tankering activities with the relevant third party. Internal – arrange for Maintenance / Engineering support as and when. Health & Safety Ensure that Health and Safety guidelines and fire regulations are strictly adhered to at all times. Comply with safe working practices as defined by BrewDog. Complete online or face to face training as and when. Take reasonable care for your own health and safety and that of others who may be affected by acts or omissions at work. Report any accidents, incidents or near misses as soon as reasonably practicable. General Be aware of and adhere to BrewDog policies and the Workplace Code at all times. Take part in crew reviews throughout the year. Cooperate with other BrewDog departments to achieve a great experience for our customers, applicants, colleagues, and contractors. Attend training courses and complete online training modules as required to meet the requirements of the role. Take responsibility for own personal development, seeking out opportunities to learn new skills. Undertake any other duties as requested which are reasonably deemed to be within the scope of the role or necessary for the smooth running of the business. Protect and enhance the interests and reputation of BrewDog internally and externally. About You Qualifications & Specific Training It is not essential for AD Plant Operators to hold any specific qualification or training certificates. Experience Significant experience of an operational role within a related process setting is required - this should include working with aerobic and/or anaerobic processes. Knowledge AD Plant Operators must be bale to demonstrate a developed understanding of both anaerobic and aerobic biological processes, as well as a basic understanding of the biogas upgrading process and of operating in compliance with a PPC Permit. Skills AD Plant Operators should hold developed analytical, interpersonal communication (written and oral) and organisational skills. Personal Attributes It is critical that AD Plant Operators have a strong work ethic, noting the need for operational, process, maintenance, laboratory and cleaning duties. An attention to detail and problem solving skills are essential to successfully managing the processes and reacting to changes.
