Job Overview
Based within the Resilient Communities Service, the Safer Cornwall Support Officer (Preventing Extremism, Safer Towns, and ASB) will be part of the Community Safety Team. The core purpose is to support safe, healthy, and resilient communities by providing support across various initiatives, including community safety, anti-social behaviour reduction, and preventing extremism.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the Community Safety Team and facilitate coordination among teams and partners.
* Support multi-agency partnership meetings, including scheduling, agenda management, minute-taking, and report preparation.
* Coordinate statutory functions related to the Community Safety Partnership, including managing meetings and boards such as Safer Cornwall Management Group and Contest Board.
* Ensure compliance with statutory and confidentiality requirements, including GDPR.
* Manage logistics and documentation for meetings, reports, and data presentation.
Working Pattern
This is a 12-month fixed-term, full-time position (37 hours/week). Flexible working arrangements and remote work options may be considered.
Candidate Requirements
* Experience in administrative support, project management, or related fields.
* Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills, including proficiency in MS Office and web-based software.
* Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality.
* Relevant qualifications such as NVQ Level 2 in Administration or equivalent.

This role requires a criminal record check and may involve travel. A suitable transport means is required for travel obligations.
