Overview
We have an excellent opportunity to join the Catering Team as a Catering Supervisor. We are looking for someone who can lead a team, work with initiative, and support the team across all areas of the department.
The post-holder will lead and supervise the catering team in the provision and delivery of all patient catering services with specific responsibilities for patient meals, retail, and hospitality in line with the NHS food review. Full training will be given.
Responsibilities
* Lead and supervise the catering team in the provision and delivery of patient catering services, including patient meals, retail, and hospitality.
* Work with initiative and adapt to working within all areas of the department.
* Carry out a comprehensive range of tasks such as cash handling, audits, and supervisory tasks (rotas, sickness) and assist in day-to-day management based at Queens Hospital.
* Support personal development of team members and participate in ongoing development opportunities.
* Demonstrate good communication skills and a flexible approach to working hours, including weekends and Bank Holidays, to meet departmental needs.
Qualifications and Skills
* NVQ Supervisory/Management or equivalent qualification (ideal).
* Good communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Ability to work on own initiative and adapt to various areas within the department.
