Overview
Uxbridge College's Sixth Form is responsible primarily for the delivery of A Level, AS, GCSE and BTEC Science courses and is based at our Uxbridge site. We have a track record of achieving strong results which places the Sixth Form in the top 10% of colleges nationally for A level progress. Qualification achievement rates for very many of the courses offered are significantly above sector averages.
Responsibilities
* Deliver A Level Business and Economics at the Sixth Form level and follow the Pearson Edexcel specifications for all Business and Economics qualifications.
* Demonstrate successful experience in teaching A Level Business and Economics.
* Contribute to the curriculum and support uptake of Economics within the Humanities section of the Sixth Form.
* Work to maintain and enhance student progress and achievement in line with college expectations.
Qualifications
* Degree in Business or Economics or a related subject.
* Evidence of successful experience in teaching A Level Business and Economics.
* Willingness to engage in professional development; if not teacher qualified, the college will support career development, including fully funding the Level 5 teacher training qualification undertaken at the College.
* Management or sponsorship considerations: we may be able to offer sponsorship for this role.
