Cyber Security Architect
Salary: Circa £72,000 per annum
Benefits: 35 days annual leave + BH + Christmas closure, generous pension scheme
Contract: 12 month fixed-term contract

A leading university in the North West is looking for an experienced Programme Security Architect to play a central role in a major Security & Risk Transformation Programme. This is a unique opportunity to define and implement enterprise-wide security architecture that will directly impact the safety of critical systems, data, and people.
What Youll Be Doing
As the Programme Security Architect, youll:
* Design and deliver secure, scalable solutions across cloud and on-premise environments, using Microsofts security suite (Defender, Sentinel, Identity).
* Align security architecture with strategic business and digital objectives.
* Collaborate with project, architecture, and security teams to embed security throughout the change lifecycle.
* Produce technical roadmaps and comprehensive documentation to guide future security efforts.
* Act as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert, providing mentoring and guidance across teams.
What Youll Bring
* Significant experience designing and implementing complex security architecture, particularly within Microsoft ecosystems.
* Expertise in cloud security and integration, including hybrid environments.
* A deep understanding of security frameworks and principles (e.g., defence-in-depth, secure development lifecycle).
* Strong communication skillsable to translate complex technical requirements for a range of stakeholders.
* A strategic and collaborative mindset, capable of influencing security direction and decision-making.
Desirable Certifications
* Industry certifications such as CISSP, CISM, Microsoft SC-200, AZ-500, SC-100, or TOGAF.
