John Owen (Aggregates) Ltd is a family-run supplier of construction and landscaping materials based in Dinnington. We are seeking an apprentice to support in our office.
Main Duties and Responsibilities
* Reviewing driver tickets daily to ensure they were uploaded to AggSmart, accurately recorded, and correctly signed.
* Scanning and distributed driver tickets to the Accounts department each morning.
* Monitoring driver clock-in and clock-out records using UAttend, ensuring timesheets were complete and accurate on a weekly basis.
* Managing driver holiday, leave, and day-off requests using UAttend and Microsoft Excel software.
* Answering incoming telephone calls, responding to customer and driver queries in a professional and efficient manner.
* Preparing customer quotations, calculated pricing, and processed customer orders.
* Liasing with the transport planner to schedule and coordinate daily jobs effectively.
* Maintaining and organising filing systems for quotations, orders, and related documentation.
* Communicating regularly with drivers to provide updates, resolve issues, and support daily operations.
* Proving general administrative support to ensure the smooth running of transport and customer service operations.
40 hours per week 8-5 with an hour for lunch.
We are looking for a friendly, enthusiastic, driven and intelligent person with a hunger for career progression. After completion of the apprenticeship we could look at permanent role with a progression into sales.
