Job Purpose
We are currently hiring Technicians for our Altens workshop. You will actively support all product lines (PCS, IExplore and D&C) domestically and provide technical advice as required in relation to our Altens Workshop. You may have to attend customer visits if/when requested. The ideal candidate will actively participate in and strive to make continuous improvements within the workshop and drive a one team mentality. You will be involved in the refurbishment and maintenance of the company Wellhead equipment in line with company specifications and service delivery targets.
Job Description
1. Installing surface wellhead equipment such as casing hangers and seal assemblies, various BOP test plugs, wear bushings, load shoulder equipment, running hydraulic seal assembly running tools and other equipment involved in surface drilling installation.
2. Maintenance which includes integrity testing of all valves, actuators and associated equipment with xmas trees and wellheads.
3. Assembly, dis-assembly and repairing any parts associated with xmas trees and surface equipment.
4. Carry out the assembly and testing of a wide range of Wellhead equipment, in accordance with Engineering Drawings and product specifications.
5. Dis-assemble, cleaning and basic repair of returned equipment in accordance with refurbishment specifications.
6. Potential client or 3rd party interface as part of specific tasks related to components of the wellhead system e.g. witness tests/make-ups
7. Undertake other workshop duties as directed by Workshop Supervisors & Management.
8. Adopt safe behaviours and exercising due regard for the health and safety of yourself, colleagues and others, by ensuring all duties are executed in a manner minimising harm to personnel or the environment.
9. Ensure you work in a competent, safe and professional manner, complying with all relevant policies and procedures set out by TechnipFMC and the Health & Safety Executive at all times
10. Ensure workshops are audit ready and meet the requirements set forth in ISO9001 & 45001
11. Comply with base KPI’s and ensure that you contribute to the success of the team.
12. Meet or exceed on time delivery (OTD) targets
13. Ensure Workshops are clean, tidy and well organised at all times
14. Assist all Workshop visitors coming to our worksite
15. Drive continuous improvements in close collaboration with management
16. Actively participate in internal training programs and safety meetings
17. Ensure all required paperwork is complete and signed off prior to submission (Job documentation, Certification, Daily Checks etc)
18. Support other Surface business units within Geomarket and/or further afield as/when required
19. System support when required (SAP, Inteserv, POS, KPI platform, ILearn, Intelex)
20. Keep P&C informed of any changes in your work situation or personnel details specifically, Next of kin, telephone numbers, home address and email address.
You are meant for this job if:
21. Several years experience of working with Surface Wellhead products
22. A skilled mechanical Technician with proven industry experience.
23. Must be fluent in English (written & oral) and have full UK driver’s license
24. Gantry Crane certification.
25. Forklift certification
26. Basic Torque/Tensioning abilities.
27. Must have strong communication skills, capable of liaising with internal/external customers and suppliers.
28. Pro-active team player, willing to share their experience, learn new skills and drive continuous improvements within the team and workshop whilst demonstrating a positive attitude.
29. Ability to provide technical solutions for all product lines, solve any operational problems that may arise in the workshop and be able to plan and execute all work scopes.
30. Must have strong knowledge of Oil & Gas sector, domestic and field operations that relate directly to the equipment we maintain and its functionality and a strong understanding of the SAP system.
