Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive individual to manage our stock control and sales/purchase ledger functions. This dual-role position requires a strong understanding of inventory processes and transactional accounting, with hands-on experience using Sage Accounts 50 system.
The successful candidate will ensure accurate stock records, timely supplier and customer invoicing, and smooth financial operations aligned with business objectives
Key Responsibilities:
Stock Control:
Ø Maintain accurate and up-to-date stock records in Sage.
Ø Monitor stock levels, investigate discrepancies, and adjust stock where necessary.
Ø Issue stock takes to be completed by Trade Counter Team and input figures into Sage 50 Accounts.
Ø Liaise with the Trade Counter team to ensure stock accuracy and availability.
Sales Ledger:
Ø Raise and issue customer invoices and guarantees promptly and accurately in Sage.
Ø Record customer receipts and allocate against invoices.
Ø Monitor aged debtors and follow up on outstanding payments.
Ø Assist with credit control and liaise with customers regarding account queries.
Ø Updating pricing
Purchase Ledger:
Ø Process supplier invoices, ensuring they are matched to purchase orders and delivery notes.
Ø Maintain supplier account records and ensure timely payment runs.
Ø Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies.
Ø Assist in preparing month-end reports related to payables.
Ø Updating pricing

Required Skills & Experience:
Ø Proven experience in a similar role involving stock control and ledger management.
Ø Proficient in Sage Accounts (Sage 50 preferred).
Ø Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ø Good organisational and time-management skills.
Ø Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ø Confident communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ø Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.
Desirable:
Ø Knowledge of PVCu and Hardware products.
Ø Knowledge of supply chain processes.
Ø AAT qualification or working towards (or equivalent experience).

Pay: £13.18 per hour
Expected hours: 22.5 per week
