The Role
As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment within a heavy industrial / chemical processing environment. Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will ensure maximum plant uptime through reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Performance Objectives
* Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
* Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production and process equipment
* Support mechanical maintenance where required
* Work on motors, drives, inverters, control panels and instrumentation
* Fault finding on PLC systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley desirable)
* Support continuous improvement initiatives
* Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations
* Minimise downtime and improve reliability across the plant
Person Specification
* Time-served Electrical Engineer (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
* NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
* Experience within heavy industry, chemical, process, manufacturing or similar environment
* Strong fault-finding ability on industrial electrical systems
* PLC fault-finding experience (modifications advantageous)
* 17th / 18th Edition desirable
* Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
