Location: Thatcham, Berkshire

Contract: Permanent, Full Time (39 hours per week, Monday to Friday - Evenings/Nights)
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Highways Maintenance Operative, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of the Area 3 network. Here’s what your day-to-day will look like:
* Perform highways maintenance duties as instructed, including winter maintenance when necessary.
* Respond promptly to incidents on the network and liaise with the Regional Network Hub Control Centre.
* Promote customer care by working closely with team members to ensure polite and courteous interactions with clients and network users.
* Conduct daily defect reports on vehicles and maintain them in good order.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you have:
* The ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* A valid UK Driving Licence or LGV Cat C.
* Experience and knowledge of strict health and safety operations and their practical implications.
* The ability to work night shifts and contribute to the out-of-hours call-out roster.
