Are you passionate about making a real impact in the lives of young people? We’re recruiting a Personal Adviser (Leaving Care) to support care leavers as they navigate their journey into adulthood. The Role
As a Personal Adviser, you will:
* Provide tailored support to young people leaving care, helping them feel safe, valued, and connected.
* Build strong, meaningful relationships and work in a trauma-informed way.
* Advocate for young people, ensuring their voices and wishes shape all decisions.
* Support access to education, training, employment, health services, and accommodation.
* Work collaboratively with professionals and agencies across the community.
* Carry out pathway plan assessments, statutory visits, and maintain accurate records.
* Promote safeguarding, wellbeing, and positive outcomes.
About You
You will need:
* An NVQ Level 3 qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant field.
* Experience working with children, young people, families, or vulnerable groups.
* Strong communication, organisational, and assessment skills.
* An empathetic, non-judgmental approach and the ability to build rapport.
* Confidence using IT systems and recording information.
* Commitment to anti-discriminatory practice and co-production with young people.
It’s a bonus if you also have experience with:
Domestic abuse, substance misuse, youth engagement, child development, or supporting young people into education or employment.
