Job Description
NES Fircroft is supporting a key Oil & Gas client in Aberdeen with a ROV Project Engineer role on a long-term contract basis.
The primary purpose is to support the project manager and coordinate with the client and vendor, respecting processes and protocols. The role involves being responsible for deliverables within the defined schedule, including the preparation, writing, and updating of documentation.
This will be a 12-month PAYE contract, working full-time hours (37.5 per week). After initial training, the work pattern will be a 3/2 hybrid shift schedule.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Complete documentation/manuals associated with newbuild subsea/ROV systems and equipment.
* Review procedures and drawings to ensure practicality from an ROV operations perspective.
* Maintain awareness and understanding of current client requirements and industry codes and standards, including statutory regulations.
* Ensure all activities comply with health, safety, quality, and environmental policies.
* Prioritize personal safety and that of others, avoiding risks.
Required Experience and Skills:
* Completed engineering studies at a university or college level, or equivalent experience.
* Strong knowledge of offshore ROV operations, especially subsea construction and remote intervention.
* Familiarity with ISO 13628-8 standards on ROV interfaces on subsea production systems.
* Ability to produce technical documentation for remotely operated subsea equipment.
* Good understanding of ROV system design and system-level engineering.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, MathCAD, and AutoCAD.
* Ability to work independently, coordinate resources, contribute actively, and solve problems.
* Effective communication skills at all levels and confidence in supervising technical disciplines.
