An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Principal Psychologist in neurorehabilitation to join us and help change the lives of people living with acquired brain injury (ABI).
We are seeking a Principal Psychologist capable of ensuring the provision and development of high quality, innovative, and evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practice.

The Role:
Brainkind is looking for a Principal Psychologist to develop their experience at TY Aberdafen, working with individuals with cognitive, physical, and emotional symptoms following severe brain injury. Rehabilitation focuses on enabling service users to function independently and participate in their previous roles and activities, with dignity and respect.
You will provide strategic, professional leadership to a multidisciplinary team including Assistant Psychologists, Rehabilitation Support Workers, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, and Speech and Language Therapists. Your responsibilities include:
1. Ensuring the provision and development of high-quality, innovative, and evidence-based neuropsychological rehabilitation practice.
2. Providing specialist psychological assessments using various tools and formulating treatment plans for mental health and adjustment difficulties.
3. Contributing expert psychological advice to multidisciplinary teams and supervising intervention plans.
4. Conducting risk assessments and advising team members accordingly.
5. Participating in multidisciplinary meetings to develop clinical services.
6. Supporting Service Managers and reporting to the Consultant Clinical Neuropsychologist.
About you:
What are we looking for?
1. A doctorate in clinical psychology (or equivalent) accredited by the BPS.
2. Ability to interpret complex clinical information and lead team efforts effectively.
3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to handle complex and emotive subjects.
4. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and interpret psychometric tests, and experience in clinical research or audit.
5. Experience in neurorehabilitation, neuropsychology interest, and motivation to develop the service further.
