Job overview:
We have a rare vacancy in our Older Peoples functional mental health wards. We are looking to recruit an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join our established teams on the functional mental health wards at The Mount. The OT team consists of Band 6, Band 5, and rotational Band 5s, with each ward having a designated OTA and activity coordinators.
Main duties of the job:
* The OT team works closely with the wider multidisciplinary team (MDT).
* The role focuses on promoting safe and timely discharge from hospital while supporting individuals to maintain independence in a ward environment.
* OTs will work with the MDT to formulate person-centered care plans, evaluate care, and contribute to ward rounds.
* Access to support includes regular clinical supervision, bi-monthly OT Forums, and guidance from a Practice Development OT.
* A preceptorship programme is available for newly qualified Occupational Therapists.
