Inspire Structures is a specialist in the management and inspection of infrastructure assets, such as railway structures. We provide safety‑focused, high‑precision inspections, competency assessments, associated training and engineering services to asset owners.

What you will be doing
As a Senior Structures Examiner, you will independently deliver structural examinations while coordinating a small team to meet annual programme requirements. You will champion safety, quality and client satisfaction across every project.
* Undertake structure examination duties independently.
* Liaise with clients regarding day‑to‑day delivery and enabling works.
* Coordinate a small team to deliver an annual programme of work.
* Maintain up‑to‑date programmes, progress lists and highlight risks to delivery.
* Identify and arrange examination methods, including track access.
* Ensure the timely and efficient production of condition reports.
* Undertake quality audits and produce feedback reports.
* Mentor and support Trainee Examiners and Examiners.

Requirements
* A full STE4 competency.
* A valid COSS competency.
* An IRATA Rope Access Level 1 qualification, or willingness to complete this training.
* Medium‑risk confined space training, or willingness to complete the training.
* Extensive experience coordinating and delivering complex structure examinations and producing high‑quality technical reports.
* Proven ability to lead, mentor and support Examiners and Trainee Examiners.
* Strong verbal and written communication skills.
* Basic IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Willingness to travel nationally.
* Medical fitness for rail work and appropriate railway medical.
* Full UK driving licence.
* A STE7 competency and a professional engineering qualification such as an ICE Engineering Technician are desirable but not mandatory – we can support you through this training.
