GSL Education are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Cover Supervisor to join a welcoming secondary school located in the Sheffield area. About the Role: You will supervise classes in the absence of the regular teacher, ensuring that students remain on task and engaged in their learning. You will deliver pre-prepared lesson materials, support students with their work, and maintain a positive and structured learning environment across a range of subjects. Key Responsibilities: Class Supervision: Deliver pre-set work to classes and maintain a calm, productive atmosphere. Student Support: Guide pupils through their tasks, encouraging focus, participation, and resilience. Behaviour Management: Use school behaviour policies to promote respectful and positive conduct. Progress Monitoring: Collect completed work and provide feedback to teaching staff. Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues to ensure continuity and support across the school. To succeed as a Cover Supervisor, you will need: Previous experience working with young people or within an educational environment. Strong communication, organisational, and behaviour management skills. Confidence delivering pre-prepared materials across the curriculum. A positive, adaptable, and proactive attitude.
