Team Leader / Supervisor Food Production Monday to Friday | 7:00am 4:30pm Location: Cookstown Rate: £14.00 per hour Gentech are delighted to be partnering with our client based in Cookstown, who are continuing to expand their production team. Due to ongoing growth, they are now recruiting an experienced Team Leader / Supervisor to support and lead daily production operations. The Role As a Team Leader / Supervisor, you will play a key role within the production department, overseeing day-to-day operations and ensuring food products are produced safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards. You will lead by example on the production floor while supporting and motivating team members to meet production targets. Duties & Responsibilities Supervise and support production operatives to ensure daily targets are achieved Coordinate and follow production schedules and work orders accurately Operate and oversee the safe use of machinery and equipment (including kettles, mixers, blenders, etc.) Ensure ingredients are weighed and prepared in line with recipes and specifications Monitor product quality, including appearance, consistency, temperature, and compliance with specifications Carry out and oversee hygiene, cleaning, and housekeeping standards across work areas Ensure accurate completion of production records, batch documentation, and traceability paperwork Identify, report, and escalate any quality, safety, or equipment issues promptly Enforce food safety, allergen control, and Health & Safety procedures at all times Provide on-the-job guidance, training, and support to team members Promote a positive, efficient, and safety-focused working environment Skills & Requirements Previous experience in food production, with supervisory or team leader experience preferred Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and Health & Safety standards Good organisational and communication skills Ability to lead, motivate, and support a team Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Reliable, proactive, and able to work under pressure What to Do Next If you are interested in this role, please contact Leah or click Apply today.
