We're the global leader in providing energy solutions that help businesses grow and communities thrive.
We work as a team, and we’re proud of the difference we make to customers, to local communities, and toward a sustainable future for the world.
We’re looking for a Fleet Planning Manager, based at either our Glasgow or Dumbarton site, to lead the strategic planning and optimisation of Aggreko’s fleet portfolio and help shape how our assets are deployed, invested in and utilised worldwide.
Why Aggreko? Here are some of the perks and rewards
1. Generous benefits package (including pension plan, bonus scheme and Life Assurance)
2. Generous holiday entitlement, with the option to ‘buy’ or ‘sell’
3. Continuous personal development and career growth support
4. Paid time off for volunteering in the community
5. Access to our Employee Assistance Programme to support wellbeing
What you’ll do
As our Fleet Planning Manager, you will play a critical role in steering the strategic direction of Aggreko’s global fleet. You’ll take the lead on building reliable, insight‑driven fleet plans, driving monthly Capex submissions, and ensuring our global asset movements align tightly with long‑term business priorities.
You will:
6. Lead the global fleet planning rhythm, building clear quarterly plans in partnership with multiple regions and ensuring they reflect both operational execution and training requirements.
7. Work closely with LMG, SRC, Procurement and Product Management to strengthen demand planning and ensure forecast accuracy.
8. Drive and facilitate global S&OP calls, helping embed stronger planning discipline and alignment across the business.
9. Act as the central owner of global fleet movements, providing a consolidated view of availability, redeployment paths and replacement needs.
10. Use advanced analytics—utilisation, ageing profiles, slow‑moving assets—to shape strategic decisions around retention, redeployment and disposal.
11. Identify and mitigate supply chain risks in collaboration with Procurement and manufacturing hubs.
12. Lead and develop a small team, setting clear goals and driving capability uplift across the global fleet community through influence and best‑practice sharing.
13. Support better capital decision‑making by maximising utilisation and reducing avoidable Capex through proactive redeployment strategies.
You’ll have the following skills and experience
14. Strong background in demand planning, forecasting, operations planning or a related discipline.
15. Experience working across multiple regions or time zones in a fast‑moving, asset‑heavy environment.
16. Advanced Excel and BI capability, with confidence analysing and presenting complex data.
17. Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and challenge constructively.
18. Leadership experience, with the ability to coach and develop a team.
19. Commercial mindset with solid financial acumen, able to balance operational needs with strategic capital considerations.
