Interim Finance Investigator (2-3 months, with further opportunities)
Location: Remote (UK-based preferred)
We're looking for an experienced finance professional to jump in and help complete a complex investigation and reconciliation project. The groundwork's been done - now it's about digging into the detail, chasing missing pieces, and tying everything neatly together.
You'll be working with transaction data that's partially incomplete. Some supporting documentation is missing and will need to be sourced through internal teams (AP, archives, etc.), and in some cases, by reaching out to suppliers based in Brazil.
Many of the transactions need to be reconciled back to specific elements of larger invoices - so you'll be tracing calculations, converting amounts to USD at the correct rates, and checking that what's reported matches up.
What we're looking for:
1. Strong background in finance, accounting, or audit
2. Hands-on reconciliation and investigation experience
3. Confident tracking down missing information and working with overseas suppliers
4. Advanced Excel skills and comfort working with large datasets
5. Ability to work independently and manage your own timelines
This is a short-term but important piece of work - perfect for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves and making sense of financial complexity.
The salary range/rates of pay is dependent upon your experience, qualifications or training.
