The RGC (Ricoh Graphic Communications) Marketing Director will be a commercially minded individual who leads the team responsible for planning and executing marketing activities to achieve the financial and strategic objectives of the business. This includes marketing strategy and operations, sales and product alignment for both direct and indirect channels, budget management, and tracking return on marketing investment.
The RGC Marketing Director is responsible for developing and executing strategies to drive growth and profitability for the RGC solutions HW/SW/PS portfolio. This involves analysing market trends, buyer behaviour, and competitor activities to identify opportunities and develop effective marketing plans. The role requires close collaboration with various teams, including HQ/Opco sales, RCL product development, and supply chain, to ensure alignment and maximize RGC performance.
This role is pivotal in driving product marketing, brand awareness, customer engagement, and demand generation, and will act as a key member of the Graphic Communications leadership team to support and contribute to the business unit strategy.
What you will be doing
* Go to market Planning:
Develop and implement go to market strategies in close cooperation with the HQ sales leaders aligned with overall business objectives, focusing on revenue growth, market share, and profitability targets.
* Market Analysis:
Conduct thorough market research, analyse buyer trends, and assess competitor activities to identify growth opportunities and potential threats.
* Product Management:
Manage the product portfolio within the category, optimizing the selection, pricing, and promotion of products to meet customer needs and maximize sales. In particular support the business in selling integrated solutions - hardware with software and offered to the market SaaS with leasing (profit deliver for the Group).
* Pricing Strategy:
Determine optimal pricing strategies for products within the category, balancing profitability with market competitiveness.
* Marketing Execution:
Develop and implement marketing plans and campaigns covering the following programs: sales enablement, customer marketing, vertical and horizontal value propositions, brand awareness and demand generation, all aimed at driving profitable growth and customer value for the category.
* Team management:
Lead and nurture the RGC marketing team to high performance (effective execution of marketing to support business objectives), ensuring strong alignment within the team across marketing sub functions (digital, campaigns, product management, communications) and in support of effective cross functional collaboration.
* Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Work alongside the RGC management team to ensure strong commercial alignment. Ensure effective relationships with wider stakeholders, especially sales (in the central HQ and local Opco teams), EMEA portfolio management, product development in Japan and the US, supply chain, and other teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of category strategies.
* Performance Monitoring:
Determine, track, report and communicate against Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for RGC, identifying areas for improvement and making data-driven recommendations.
* Marketing Budget Management:
Manage RGC marketing budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve desired results.
* Relationship Management:
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure product availability, competitive pricing, and effective promotional campaigns.
Identify and evaluate new product opportunities, trends, and technologies within the category to drive innovation and maintain a competitive edge.
You will ideally have
* Proven experience in developing and executing marketing strategies in senior marketing position.
* Understanding of B2B marketing best practice especially in the area of digital and demand marketing.
* Strong experience in Production Printing business in general and specific in Graphic Arts, preferably with several years of sales experience.
* Proven experience in developing high performing marketing teams, in international matrix environments
* Strong analytical, commercial and strategic thinking skills.
* Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage budgets and track performance metrics.
* Understanding of market research and buying behaviour (including persona analysis)
* Experience in product management is preferred.
