Role: Project Manager –
Location: BRNC Dartmouth (Covering Plymouth)
Salary: Up to £50,000 + Company Car/Allowancwe
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to take ownership of delivering essential Billable Works projects across the Defence estate. These projects directly support service personnel and play an important role in maintaining and improving critical facilities.
From initial scope through to final handover, you will lead the full lifecycle of multiple projects - ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Manage the full project process from requirement identification, scoping, and design development through to delivery and completion.
Work closely with key stakeholders to agree specifications, develop tender packages, and ensure each project meets operational and compliance requirements.
Collaborate with commercial teams to run tender processes, evaluate technical proposals, and secure value-for-money solutions.
Oversee contractors on site, ensuring all personnel are suitably qualified, Risk Assessments and Method Statements are robust, and all work complies with Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
Monitor progress, performance, and quality across all live projects, taking early action to resolve issues and keep stakeholders updated.
Maintain precise financial control—managing budgets, tracking project costs, and aligning plans with programme priorities.
Implement effective risk mitigation strategies to ensure timely, safe, and compliant delivery.
Ensure all project documentation is accurate, complete, and recorded using internal systems such as Maximo and SharePoint.What You’ll Bring
Strong project management background, ideally with experience delivering construction, M&E, civil, or infrastructure projects.
Experience managing contractors, controlling budgets, coordinating multiple workstreams, and ensuring safe systems of work.
Confident communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to resolve issues decisively.
A qualification in Building, Civil, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering—or equivalent experience.
A Health & Safety management qualification such as SMSTS (or similar).
