Black Country Federation (Brierley Hill & Brockmoor Primary Schools)
32.5 hours per week | Permanent | Required as soon as possible
The Governors of the Black Country Federation are seeking to appoint an experienced, enthusiastic and highly motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support our children and staff across either of our schools: Brierley Hill Primary or Brockmoor Primary, both on an exciting trajectory of rapid improvement.
This role offers the opportunity to work within a forward-thinking federation that is nationally recognised for curriculum innovation (CUSP Lead School) and staff development. You'll be part of a team relentlessly focused on ensuring every pupil has access to exceptional teaching, high expectations and meaningful learning.
The successful candidate will:
* Hold HLTA status or equivalent teaching assistant qualification at Level 4 (or higher)
* Have strong English and Maths skills (GCSE grade C/4 or above)
* Have experience supporting and delivering learning to individuals, groups and whole classes
* Demonstrate excellent behaviour management and classroom presence
* Show a commitment to inclusion, aspiration and supporting all pupils to succeed
* Communicate effectively and build strong, positive relationships with children, staff and families
* Be flexible and proactive in supporting high-quality provision across the federation
Key responsibilities include:
* Planning and delivering learning to groups and/or classes under the direction of a teacher
* Supporting and adapting high-quality provision to meet the needs of all learners
* Using strong subject knowledge and effective strategies to scaffold and stretch pupils' learning
* Supporting implementation of the CUSP Curriculum
* Promoting the inclusion of all pupils and upholding high expectations for behaviour and engagement
* Contributing to assessment and feedback processes, including pupil voice
* Supporting safeguarding and wellbeing in line with federation policies and statutory guidance
