Hours: 37.5hrs, Monday to Friday Contract: Full Time/Perm ?The Mechanical Engineerwill:
Work as part of the Maintenance Team
Observe the highest levels of health and safety at all times, including carrying out point of work risk assessments for every task to ensure the best possible working practices are adhered to
Use your own initiative to solve complicated technical problems associated with reactive maintenance activities, including sourcing parts & materials and seeking manufacturer technical support
Liaise closely with our control hub to ensure efficient response to all works either working on your own or as part of a team
Play a key role in planning and completing a range of works on various building systems
Provide exceptional maintenance services to our high profile client and go the extra mile to deliver to the highest quality standards in all areas
Utilise PDAs / mobiles to complete works
Provide regular out of hours cover on a rota system.
Level 3 Commercial Plumbing or Heating and Ventilation Qualifications
Demonstrate relevant previous experience in a maintenance role, in relation to Commercial Plumbing and Heating & Ventilation systems
Demonstrate a sound general knowledge of multiple building services
Demonstrate previous experience in a maintenance role in a university environment
Recognised Health & Safety training
Confined space training
