*Job Title: *Performing Arts Teacher (Dance/Drama/Singing) *Contract: *Part-Time (Weekdays, term-time only) *Job Location: *Razzamataz Theatre Schools South Lakes *Responsible To:* Principal *Role Purpose: *To deliver high-quality performing arts lessons (drama, dance, or singing) to children and young people aged 4–18, inspiring confidence, creativity, and a love of the arts. *Principal Duties / Key Objectives * 1 Plan and deliver engaging classes in line with Razzamataz curriculum. 2 Teach skills progressively, ensuring accessibility for all ability levels. 3 Prepare students for performances, showcases, and exams (where applicable). 4 Support and inspire students’ confidence and self-expression. 5 Ensure a safe, inclusive, and positive learning environment. 6 Provide feedback to students and parents where appropriate. 7 Support promotional activities, workshops, and external performance opportunities. 8 Work collaboratively with the Principal, other teachers, and assistants. *Additional Information * You may on occasions and in line with operational needs: - Be required to work different hours including at weekends/evenings; - Be required to travel for meetings and events. In addition to the duties listed here, you will be required to perform other duties which are assigned from time to time. However, such other duties will be reasonable in relation to the role. Employees should correctly use work items provided by Razzamataz Theatre Schools, including personal protective equipment in accordance with training or instructions. *We are seeking a candidate who is: * ● Inspiring: Motivates students through passion for their subject, encouraging creativity, expression, and confidence. ● Skilled: Demonstrates strong technical knowledge in drama, dance, or singing, and can break this down into engaging, achievable steps for students. ● Inclusive: Sensitive to the needs of different ages and abilities, able to adapt lessons so every child feels supported and challenged. ● Confident Leader: Comfortable leading groups, maintaining discipline, and creating a positive and structured learning environment. ● Collaborative: Works effectively with other teachers, assistants, and the Principal to provide a joined-up student experience. ● Organised: Plans lessons with clear progression and ensures preparation for showcases, events, and performances. ● Professional Communicator: Builds rapport with students and families, representing Razzamataz in a professional manner. ● Resilient & Flexible: Able to remain positive and adaptable under pressure, including during rehearsals or performances. Job Type: Part-time Pay: From £17.50 per hour Expected hours: 6 per week Benefits: * On-site parking Work Location: In person
