Registered Manager
Service: Covering Brook Street & Widmore Road respite services in SE London
Hours: 38 Hours Per week
Salary: £33,106 PA

Who are Ambient Support?
Ambient Support, a registered UK charity with over 25 years’ experience in providing care and support services for older people, people with mental health needs, and people with learning disabilities.
The Role of our Registered Respite Manager
You will be responsible for ensuring the LD services are managed effectively and efficiently according to the service specifications and the aims and values of Ambient Support.
Ambient Support is committed to delivering high-quality services to the people we support and actively engaging with the community. The role aims to uphold these principles.
Key responsibilities of our Registered Respite Manager :
Coaching, mentoring, motivating, and supporting staff to deliver the commissioned support.
Ensuring all services provide a safe, clean, and positive environment for the people supported.
Ensuring staff implement the values, ethos, and objectives of Ambient Support.
Monitoring and managing safeguarding issues and promoting best practices in protecting vulnerable adults.
Managing services within corporate strategies, including management information systems, rostering, and audits.
Managing staff performance, including disciplinary actions when necessary.
Supporting your own professional development through training and identifying learning needs.
Participating in on-call arrangements as required.
Involving people we support in service delivery and development, working with involvement and co-production teams.
Ensuring health and safety, risk management, and regulatory compliance in line with policies and regulations.
Assessing and supporting the leadership development of Service Leads and staff.
Facilitating regular team meetings and promoting open communication and recognition.
Monitoring comments and complaints, ensuring appropriate actions are taken for service improvements.
Undertaking additional responsibilities as assigned by the line manager, including service development and project management.
Supporting governance, quality improvements, audits, and identifying areas for enhancement.
Skills and attributes of our Registered Respite Manager :
A Level 5 in Health and Social Care or Management or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
Experience managing high-quality care services achieving compliance with CQC standards.
Proven supervisory or management experience in care and support settings.
Experience supervising, training, and mentoring staff.
Experience in recruitment, motivation, disciplinary investigations, and hearings.
Ability to work under pressure, prioritize, and meet deadlines.
Effective motivational, engagement, verbal, and written communication skills.
IT literacy, including Microsoft Excel, Teams, and Forms.
Ability to produce clear, concise reports.
Reflective practice and effective use of supervision.
Flexible, self-motivated, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
