Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer who enjoys solving problems before they become downtime? We're partnering with a well-established manufacturing leader in Wigan to recruit a skilled engineer who wants more than just fault-finding - someone who wants stability, development, and the chance to make real improvements on the shop floor. Shift Pattern
Monday - Thursday
* 6am-2pm
* 2pm-10pm
* 10pm-6am
Friday
* 6am-12pm
* 12pm-6pm
* 6pm-12am
Your role
As part of a multi-skilled engineering team, you'll play a key role in maintaining production performance across the site by:
* Responding quickly and effectively to machinery breakdowns
* Completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and condition-based tasks
* Diagnosing electrical faults and minimising downtime
* Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects
* Working closely with production teams to optimise equipment performance
* Maintaining safe systems of work and HSE compliance
* Supporting spare parts control and documentation
What we're looking for
1. Electrical engineering background with a time served apprenticeship or equivalent
2. Strong knowledge of:
3. AC/DC systems
Motors and drives
Inverters and control panels
PLC fault-finding (Allen Bradley preferred)
A proactive engineer who enjoys problem-solving and teamwork
