An exciting opportunity has opened up within the Dermatology Department at Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children, for a 3 year rotational placement in Paediatric Dermatology, comprising 2 years in Paediatric Dermatology at Great Ormond Street Hospital, and 1 year in General Dermatology in Bristol, the role to start September 2026.

Main duties of the job
* Provide inpatient and outpatient care for children with common, complex, and rare dermatological disorders.
* Manage a wide range of skin diseases in paediatric populations.
* Participate in multidisciplinary clinics (e.g. vascular anomalies, genetics, rheumatology, plastics).
* Undertake dermatologic procedures, including skin biopsy, cryotherapy and laser therapy under supervision.
* Participate in the out of hours on-call rota for dermatology advice and emergency dermatologic presentations in children.
* Contribute to care planning, documentation, and communication with families and referring clinicians.
* Participate in departmental academic meetings, journal clubs, and case discussions.
* Contribute to the teaching of medical students, residents, and allied health professionals.
* Undertake supervised research and/or quality improvement projects within paediatric dermatology.
* Present findings at national or international meetings and prepare work for publication in peer-reviewed journals.
* Attend structured teaching sessions and recognised specialist courses relevant to Dermatology (e.g. Genetics, Photodermatology, Allergy, Biology of the Skin).
* Engage in regular appraisal and feedback sessions with the educational supervisor.
* Participate in personal development planning and maintain an up-to-date portfolio of clinical experience and competencies.

Experience/Knowledge
* Current London Deanery NTN in Paediatrics (at least ST6 paediatrics)
* Understanding of principles of clinical governance
* Strong communication, teamwork, and organisational skills
* Prior clinical experience in paediatric dermatology
* Experience of teaching and presenting
* Experience of audit activities
* Published research in peer reviewed journals
