Clerical Officer ( Receptionist) - Day Surgery Unit
The Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic team player to take up the post of Receptionist/Clerical Officer in the Day Surgery Unit Department. This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate.
Working pattern
Monday/Thursday/Friday 7am - 3pm
Applicants Should Possess
* A working knowledge of NHSL systems to include Trakcare, Clinical Portal.
* The ability to effectively communicate with and provide support to all medical staff within the department and the wider team.
* Enthusiasm, motivation and a positive outlook.
* Organisation and prioritisation skills
* The ability to work collaboratively within a diverse team and be responsive to change within challenging timescales.

What we'll need you to bring
* Good basic education.
* Basic understanding of office procedures.
* Proficient in use of Software systems.
* Good organisational and communication skills.
Please note for all vacancies where a driving licence is required this must be a full UK/EU/EEA licence.
It would be great if you also have
* Standard Grade/NVQ II or equivalent
* Relevant office experience with associated keyboard skills
* Experience of Healthcare environment
* Some experience of working in a reception area
* Knowledge of Trakcare Patient Management System
* Able to work as part of a team.

* 22 hours
Please note this is a part time post and the salary for this position will be pro-rata.
Location and Working Pattern
This role will be based in Day Surgery Unit within University Hospital Hairmyres.
The working pattern for this role is Monday, Thursday, Friday (7am - 3pm).
