Role Overview:
The Financial Controller will play a pivotal role in ensuring the financial health and stability of our organisation. This position involves overseeing transactional processing, providing strategic financial guidance, and supervising accounting personnel. Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting and Analysis:
* Prepare accurate month-end closings, financial forecasts, and consolidations.
* Analyse financial data to provide actionable insights to management.
* Ensure compliance with corporate reporting requirements.
Transactional Processing:
* Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions.
* Monitor cash flow, manage working capital, and optimise financial processes.
* Maintain accuracy in physical inventory records.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
* Collaborate with department heads to create and manage financial budgets.
* Develop long-term financial plans aligned with organisational goals.
* Monitor budget performance and recommend adjustments as needed.
Staff Supervision and Training:
* Lead and mentor accounting personnel, ensuring their professional growth.
* Evaluate team performance and provide constructive feedback.
* Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment.
Financial Strategy:
* Contribute to the development of financial strategies and policies.
* Identify cost-saving opportunities and revenue enhancement initiatives.
* Implement effective internal controls and risk management practices.
Stakeholder Communication:
* Liaise with senior management, auditors, and external stakeholders.
* Present financial reports, forecasts, and strategic recommendations.
* Communicate complex financial information to non-financial colleagues.
Qualifications:
* Professional qualification (e.g., CIMA, ACCA, ACA)
* Proven experience as a Financial Controller in a manufacturing environment.
* Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
* Excellent leadership and communication abilities.
* Proficiency in financial software and ERP systems.
