Job Title: Temporary Finance Assistant
Location: Cradley Heath (fully office-based)
Contract: Temporary - Minimum 3 Months
Working Hours:

1. Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 4:00pm

2. Friday: 8:30am - 3:00pm

3. 34 hours per week (30-minute unpaid lunch break)

Start Date: ASAP

About the Role

Robert Half is currently recruiting on behalf of a valued client for a Temporary Finance Assistant to support a busy finance team in Cradley Heath. This is a fully office-based position, working 34 hours per week over five days, for a minimum of three months, with the potential to be extended.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting core financial operations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness across various accounting functions.

Key Responsibilities

4. Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports

5. Maintain and update accounting records and journals

6. Support accounts payable and receivable functions

7. Reconcile bank statements and general ledger accounts

8. Assist with payroll processing

9. Support the finance team in audit preparation

10. Provide assistance with budgeting and forecasting activities

Requirements

11. Proven experience in a similar finance or accounting support role

12. Working knowledge of Sage 1000 or Sage 200 is highly advantageous

13. Good basic Excel skills (e.g., spreadsheets, formulas)

14. Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

15. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment

16. Availability to work fully on site for the full duration of the contract
