Our client is a well-established and successful company. They are looking for an experienced person to join them a QHSE Engineer. This is a hands-on role suited to someone from an Engineering / Manufacturing background who is comfortable working with shop-floor teams as well as customers and auditors.
Your job role will be to maintain and develop their QMS in line with ISO 9001, EN 3834 and ASME U, and lead the transition/implementation work towards ISO 14001, ISO 45001 & ISO 19443. In addition, you will act as the key point of contact for Health, Safety & Environmental matters on site.
Salary: £40,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.
Hours of work: Monday to Friday, standard day hours.

* Proven experience in a Quality and HSE position within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment (ideally within fabrication, process plant or pressure equipment manufacturing, however other industries will be considered).
* NEBOSH / IOSH, with a willingness to work towards if not.
* Knowledge of HSE legislation and good practice in the UK.
* Experience implementing or maintaining ISO 14001 / ISO 4500.
* Solid working knowledge of ISO 9001 (exposure to EN 3834 and/or ASME U will be a strong advantage).
* Experience of internal auditing and document control.
Responsibilities:
* Maintain, update and improve the company QMS to ensure compliance with ISO 9001, EN 3834 and ASME U requirements.
* Plan and lead internal audits; coordinate external/customer audits and certification visits.
* Develop and deliver the roadmap for achieving ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 certification.
* Create, review and control quality procedures, work instructions and forms.
* Lead and support HSE activities on site, including risk assessments, method statements and accident/incident investigations.
* Monitor quality and HSE KPIs, analyse non-conformances and drive corrective/preventive actions.
* Support production and projects with quality/HSE input at enquiry, contract review and manufacturing stages.
* Promote a culture of right-first-time and safe working.
* Opportunity to lead certification projects (14001, 45001, 19443).
