Job Purpose
Reporting to an Operations Manager, the primary responsibility of the role is to lead and deliver O&M services to offshore renewable energy assets. Principal services include work on meteorological masts and wind turbine foundations, and to also support on OFTO assets including onshore and offshore substations and export cables. Core assets are located in the North-West and East coasts of England, but services may also be delivered in other locations. We ensure that these services are delivered safely and in accordance with contractual standards and specifications.Organisational ContextYou will be the focal point for project delivery and responsible for the planning and delivery of the day-to-day activities required to provide the agreed services. This is a client facing role and requires regular communication with RES’ clients and external contractors. You will work closely with the Offshore and UK&I O&M teams as well as other RES departments including HSE, Technical and Engineering.AccountabilitiesSupport the Offshore team in the delivery of operation and maintenance services, including but not limited to:
1. Handling the onshore and offshore scheduled work (planning and delivery phases)
2. Preparing budgets and contract variations, tracking budgets and invoicing
3. Producing and reviewing Risk Assessments and Method Statements
4. Creation of reports to issue to client
5. Procurement of 3rd party services, tools and equipment
6. Leading and/or carrying out work on site including:
7. Inspection and planned maintenance of onshore and offshore assets
8. Reactive maintenance of electrical and mechanical elements
Competency and skills to:
9. Project manage planned and reactive offshore activities
10. Lead an onshore/offshore team in the execution of the work
11. Plan maintenance services involving difficult access
12. Ability to maintain and fault find within data logging and communication systems
On-Call: You may be expected to participate in a call out rota to provide emergency response outside of normal working hours.The role also includes the following department responsibilities:
13. Support the production and review of procedures, processes and technical literature
14. Draft and/or provide inputs into proposals and related cost books
15. Assist with the management & control of both client owned and Offshore department tools, equipment and PPE
Knowledge
16. Good knowledge of UK Health & Safety legislation
17. Experience with data logging and communication systems (desirable)
18. LV & mechanical fault-finding and analysis
19. Knowledge of wind turbines and related equipment (desirable)
20. Knowledge of balance of plant applicable to offshore wind farms
21. Knowledge of HV systems (desirable)
22. Knowledge of HV safety rules (desirable)
23. Awareness of working at height
24. Awareness of working within confined spaces (desirable)

Qualifications
37. An HND in Instrumentation Engineering, or equivalent qualification, but background in technical discipline
38. GWO Training (desirable, however full training will be given)
39. IRATA or rigging qualification (desirable)
40. Hold a full driving licence
