The Role:
We are seeking an Interim Compliance Contract Manager – Asbestos, Gas, Legionella to oversee and drive compliance across asbestos management surveys, gas inspections, testing and servicing, and water risk assessments. Your role will focus on ensuring 100% compliance across all asset types, safeguarding residents and building users through robust contract oversight and strong performance management.
You will manage monthly contract meetings for each discipline, ensuring KPIs are met, actions are tracked, minutes are recorded, and all documentation is up to date. You will also support procurement activity, attend operational and strategic meetings when required, and provide performance reporting across the service.
This role requires strong communication and stakeholder engagement, regularly liaising with contractors, residents, leaseholders, building users and internal teams.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage contracts for asbestos surveys, gas compliance, and water risk assessments.
* Lead monthly compliance contract meetings, track actions and ensure KPIs are consistently achieved.
* Oversee contractor performance, verify billing, and ensure alignment with contract terms.
* Support procurement and specification development for compliance‑related contracts.
* Attend strategic and operational meetings, providing accurate performance updates.
* Liaise with residents, leaseholders, councillors, internal teams and other stakeholders as required.
* Maintain and manage compliance documentation, ensuring data is accurate and consistently stored.
* Deputise for the Compliance Manager where needed.
What We’re Looking For:
* Experience in asbestos, gas and/or water compliance environments.
* Strong contractor management and performance‑driving capability.
* Good understanding of compliance regulations for asbestos, gas and water.
* Strong financial control, cost management and commercial awareness.
* Confident using Microsoft Office and compliance software systems.
* Highly organised, methodical and able to manage significant volumes of technical data.
* Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively at all levels.
Special Requirements:
* Occasional work outside normal hours may be required.
* Must be comfortable managing sensitive information in line with data‑protection requirements.
