SEND Key Worker – Cheshire East Council

Hourly Rate: £25.18
Hours: 37 per week

Pertemps are recruiting on behalf of Cheshire East Council for an experienced SEND Key Worker to join their team.
The role:
The successful candidate will undertake statutory assessments and support the development and maintenance of Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) for children and young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the local authority.
Key responsibilities:
1. Undertake statutory assessments in line with the SEND Code of Practice.
2. Develop, review, and maintain Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
3. Manage a caseload of children and young people with EHCPs, attending annual reviews and updating plans as required.
4. Liaise with education, childcare, and vocational providers to source appropriate placements.
5. Provide advice and support to parents and educational settings on SEND procedures and the EHCP process.
Requirements:
6. Experience of working within a local authority SEND or EHCP team.
7. Good knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice and statutory assessment process.
8. Excellent communication and organisational skills.
