In this role you will handle a varied caseload that would be deputyships from the OPG’s Panel, Local Authorities, Charities and Care Providers, supporting clients (plus their family and circle of care) with learning difficulties, mental health issues, substance abuse, brain injuries, age-related injuries etc.

Court of Protection Solicitor - Manchester
The company & role
* A Top 100 full-service law firm with offices nationally
* In this role, you will manage a wide array of substantial estates, including dealing with property sales, probate administration, investments, management of care packages, applications for statutory care funding, court applications (such as statutory wills, gifts, further authority, overseas assets etc.), investigations into previous financial abuse and reporting to court and safeguarding issues.
* You will work closely with the deputy and be supported by paralegals.
* The role also comes with the exciting opportunity to run, with management support, your own small team, as team leader, supported by and supervising a couple of juniors/paralegals and growing this as new work comes in.

The ideal candidate
* A Court of Protection Solicitor with 2+ years’ PQE
* Will have 2+ years’ experience of running their own deputyship matters and can be solicitor/legal executive/experienced paralegal as a file handler.
* Will have excellent communication skills
* Will have very good time management and organisation skills
* A team player who is able to multi-task and work to strict deadlines and targets
