Early Years Teaching Assistant

We are looking for an enthusiastic Early Years Teaching Assistant with proven experience supporting children in Nursery or Reception to join our team and work across a range of primary schools in Wakefield and nearby areas.
About the Role
You will support children aged 3-5 in their early development, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about early childhood education and confident working with young learners in both one-to-one and group settings.
Key Responsibilities
* Supporting children's learning through play-based and structured activities
* Assisting with phonics, early maths, communication, and social development
* Providing one-to-one support for children with additional needs
* Helping to maintain a positive, inclusive classroom environment
* Working closely with class teachers and other support staff
* Following safeguarding procedures and school policies
Requirements
* Experience supporting children in Early Years (essential)
* Knowledge of the EYFS framework
* A patient, caring, and proactive approach
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
* A valid DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
