Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Womenswear Designer to join our in-house 'Own Brand' Design team at Footasylum's Head Office in Rochdale. Our company manages multiple brands across men's, women's, kids', and accessories categories.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2-3 years of experience in a high-street fashion role, supported by a relevant portfolio.
This role offers an excellent opportunity to work on Footasylum's 'own brands', including Forena, Dripmade, and others, with strong prospects for progression.

Responsibilities
1. Research and contribute to the creation of seasonal collections in collaboration with the Brand Manager / Buyer, including researching customer profiles, new trends, and high street competitors, with a focus on brand awareness and regional consumer engagement.
2. Work with the Senior Design team to develop design strategies for each brand and season, including trend overviews and collection creation, demonstrating advanced understanding of technical CAD specifications within deadlines.
3. Collaborate closely with 'own brand' Buyers, Brand Managers, and Product Developers to participate in fit sessions.
4. Ensure compliance with Children's safety standard guidelines and provide feedback to the team.
5. Build strong relationships with factories in Turkey, China, and Pakistan, and assist with branded development and production trips (which may include weekends).
6. Travel to UK stores and overseas for development trips, which may include evenings and weekends for inspiration.
7. Maintain planners and purchase orders to ensure timely order processing and up-to-date development and production overviews.
8. Attend weekly trade meetings and communicate feedback to the team.
9. Support Junior Designers in delivering clear technical CAD specifications and reviewing Tech Packs before submission.
10. Be self-motivated with good time management skills and adaptability.
