Are you a passionate and dedicated early years professional looking to take the next step in your career? Longford Park Primary School is seeking a Nursery Teacher to oversee the development and daily management of our nurturing and engaging nursery environment on a fixed term contract for the rest of the academic year. Your Opportunity In this key role, you will ensure that children aged 2-5 thrive in a safe, caring, and stimulating setting, while building strong partnerships with parents, carers, and professionals. If you are committed to delivering high-quality teaching, implementing best practices, and fostering a love of learning, we would love to hear from you! What we're looking for: Early Years Level 6 qualification or above GCSE grade ‘C’ or above in Maths and English Current paediatric First Aid certificate Basic food hygiene certificate Up to date safeguarding training Strong teaching experience in Early Years with a clear understanding of current pedagogy Experience working in a nursery or school setting Experience managing and working within a team Ability to establish and communicate clear standards and expectations Ability to manage and develop resources to support child development High standard of written and oral communication Knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage and statutory requirements Good understanding of The Children Act, EYFS Welfare Requirements, and KCSIE Ability to design interactive, engaging sessions for all learning needs Strong planning and organisation skills Positive, can-do attitude Trustworthy, approachable, and passionate about changing children’s lives Please read the Job Description and Person Specification for more information and before applying.
