We are currently seeking a Technician supporting the Aggregates and Asphalt Testing between Borras Quarry (Wrexham) and Liverpool Asphalt Plant (Mersyside).
You will ideally be based in a commutable location to Borras Quarry, Wrexham. A Business use Van will be provided to allow mobility between the two sites, and surrounding customer sites.
Key Responsibilities
1. You will be responsible for carrying out product compliance sampling and testing for the aggregates and asphalt we produce.
2. You will input and interpret test data and produce reports of non-conforming material, ensuring corrective action is taken.
3. Ability to liaise with multiple stakeholders, including customers and peers.
4. Strong attention to detail is essential.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
5. Good communication skills are also important as you will be liaising with a variety of stakeholders, including customers - to assist in the resolution of any issues - and our Laboratory and Technical Supervisors.
6. It is essential that you maintain an awareness of site practices and quality procedures and take action where these may adversely affect product quality.
7. Adherence to Health & Safety practices of both the Company and your site.
8. General housekeeping.
9. Previous laboratory experience in the testing of aggregates and asphalt is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided.
10. A full driving licence is essential for you to be considered for this role as you will be required to drive a company van.
