Key Responsibilities
Supervise lessons across a range of subjects in the absence of the class teacher.
Ensure students follow the work set in accordance with school policies.
Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting a positive and safe learning environment.
Provide feedback to teachers regarding student progress and behaviour.
Support the wider school community as required (e.g., exam invigilation, mentoring, or small group work).
Person Specification
Essential
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage and motivate groups of young people.
Resilience, adaptability, and confidence in a classroom environment.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Minimum of 5 GCSEs (or equivalent), including English and Maths.
Desirable
Previous experience working with young people (e.g., in education, youth work, coaching, or tutoring).
Degree or higher-level qualification.
Understanding of school systems and procedures.
