Job Overview
We are recruiting an experienced Deputy Care Home Manager to support the day‑to‑day leadership of a well‑established residential care home in Maidstone. The role combines hands-on care delivery with operational and administrative management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
Support the Registered Manager with the daily running of the residential care home
Lead, supervise and support care staff to maintain high standards of care
50% floor‑based care, ensuring safe and person‑centred practice & 50% office‑based work including care planning and compliance
Conduct audits, quality checks and contribute to regulatory compliance
Ensure best practice, effective communication and team coordination
Step up and manage the home in the Registered Manager's absenceEssential Requirements
Experience as a Deputy Manager in a residential care home
Consideration given to experienced Team Leaders with genuine management duties
Stable and consistent employment history
Strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
Knowledge of care standards, safeguarding and regulatory compliance
